Sponsored by AFFC, this Fire Chaplaincy training event is a one-day training event highly recommended for those interested in fire chaplaincy, beginning their fire chaplaincy, bringing a chaplain into their department, or in the fields of public safety, law enforcement, disaster response, healthcare, homeland security, spiritual care, etc. 

This course will introduce emergency services chaplaincy, how to get a fire chaplaincy started, an overview on Critical Incident Stress Management, Psychological First Aid, and more.

This event is August 16th at Muscle Shoals Regional Training Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ALL current Active Members are FREE. Non-members are $25. Price includes the training course and materials as well as lunch, snacks, and drinks. Early registration is required.

Foundations Of Emergency Services Chaplaincy: Navigating Your Role Effectively (Opelika)

This course is considered the first step to our Montgomery training and will cover the following:

• Death Notification (Children & Dealing with Parents)

This event is August 28th in Opelika (Specific location to be announced soon) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ALL current Active Members are $100. Non-members are $125. Price includes the training course and materials as well as lunch, snacks, and drinks. Early registration is required.

Assisting Individuals in Crisis Training Event in Greenville

Sponsored by AFFC, this Fire Chaplaincy training event is a two-day training event highly recommended for fire chaplains, and others in the fields of public safety, law enforcement, disaster response, healthcare, homeland security, spiritual care, etc. This course will cover CISM, the resistance, resiliency, and recovery continuum, basic crisis communication techniques, common crisis reactions, suicide intervention, and much more.

This event is June 13th and 14th at the Greenville First Assembly of God from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. ALL current Active Members are $200. Non-members are $225. Price includes the training classes, all course materials, and daily lunches, snacks, and drinks. Early registration is required.

AFFC Regional & County Rep Training Q&A

Sponsored by Alabama Fellowship of Fire Chaplains, this training event is a 1-hour training highly recommended for active AFFC fire chaplains looking to learn how to become a Regional or County Representative for AFFC!

This training event is set for Tuesday, May 20th, and Thursday, 22nd, (pick the best night for you or choose both if you have more questions or just need the fellowship). We meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is a FREE event. Early registration is required for these Q&As so we can focus on the regions and counties of the reps present.
